Please be advised that the City of Wakonda's sidewalk project will begin as early as August 25, 2025. This project will span from Ohio Street to Nebraska Street along the North Side of Second Street undertaking the removal and installation of sidewalk to be completed in November 2025.
 

During this time, residents may notice an increase in construction-related traffic in and around the surrounding area. Second Street will remain open during construction of the sidewalk; we encourage everyone to use caution around the work area.
 

For your safety, the sidewalk will be closed. All residents utilizing the sidewalk on Second Street to walk to/from the school will need to use an alternate route.
